Despite COVID-19 and all of its challenges, the UAE has managed to reinstate global village this year. The new season will start in October 25 and will continue until March next year. The year 2020 also marks Global Village’s silver jubilee, or 25th anniversary. There is much to look forward to, with concerts, new pavilions and of course the fantastic food.
Global village is one of Dubai's biggest attractions, boasting pavilions from all over the world including Japan, Egypt and a spectacular African pavilion. There is a myriad of souvenirs available, from honey at the Yemeni stall, to beautiful pottery at the Turkish pavilion.
As always, there will be strict safety measures in place - with mandatory masks, hand sanitizing stations and social distancing. This year, the timings have also been extended, from 2PM to 11PM. The entry fees remains the same, at 15Dhs per person.
2020 will see a new repertoire of pavilions, including Russia and Cambodia, bring the total number up to 26. Be sure to wear your walking shoes and don’t forget to carry a reusable bag for all your shopping!
